Oxnat is a naturist club, founded in 1979, owned and run by its members
for the benefit of its members. It is affiliated to the Central Council for
British Naturism. The club has well over 100 members whose ages range from
infants to octogenarians, and it welcomes applications for membership from
those who might be lifelong naturists, or those who have only just discovered
its pleasures, perhaps on holiday.
Since its early years, the club has acquired a peaceful woodland site near
Oxford, and has built a clubhouse, with sauna, shower and kitchen areas. On
this naturist site you can sunbathe, play boules, have a picnic or barbecue,
take a walk along the paths when the bluebells are out, or spend the weekend
camping.
In winter, or when the sun stops shining, the clubhouse is cosy, heated by
a very effective wood burning stove which, of course, is fuelled from our own
wood supply. Here you can have a sauna, play ping-pong, chill out on a cold
winter afternoon, or join a convivial social evening for a good meal, a chat
and maybe some entertainment or games. There are monthly gatherings of an art
group and a yoga group, though these are not taught sessions, simply meetings
of enthusiasts.
The club holds swimming sessions on three Saturday evenings a month, at
The Wave, Didcot. It has a monthly newsletter sent to all members.
